Liquid Light 8

36×36 Fluid Acrylics on Gallery Canvas
This collection is an exploration of stillness — of the Okanagan as I feel it, not just as I see it. Soft horizons, minimal colour, and quiet space become a way of listening.  I’m drawn to the idea that everything is formed from something more fluid — light, awareness, presence —slowly taking shape. These landscapes are not fixed places, but moments where that light settles, however briefly, into form.
There is a calm here, but it isn’t empty.  It moves. It breathes. It ripples beneath the surface.  I think of it as a kind of Liquid Light — something you can’t quite hold, but can feel.  And maybe that same quiet source exists in all of us — unseen, but gently shaping how we experience the world.
This piece is part of a virtual art exhibition “Points of Orientation” by Kefi Art Gallery Toronto May 8 – June 7
